On the second day of the MFF Middle East Food Fair held in Gaziantep, the GSO Food Summit hosted a panel discussion titled “The New Food Economy System in the New World.” Organized as part of a university-industry collaboration, the panel brought together academic knowledge and industry experience.
Gaziantep Middle East Fair Center (OFM) Conference Hall, moderated by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Bayram, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Gaziantep University. Participants included Ali Can Koçak, Member of the Board of Directors of the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO); Hüsamettin Selçuk, Member of the Board of Directors of GASBEM; Prof. Dr. Nevzat Artık, Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Ankara University Food Engineering Department and Director of the Food Safety Institute; Director of the Food Safety Institute, and Scientific Advisor to the TOBB Beverage Council Prof. Dr. Nevzat Artık, Food Engineer, Member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Turkish Food and Beverage Industry Associations and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Plant-Based Foods Association Ebru Akdağ, food industry representatives, and company officials.

The panel was organized within the scope of university-industry cooperation, bringing together academic knowledge and industry experience.
The panel, organized to discuss innovations in the food industry and contribute to sustainable food policies, addressed recent developments in the global food market, food forecasts and expectations for 2025, changes in global and local food systems, and innovation and developments in the food sector.
