The Paris Agreement is an international agreement under which countries take action as part of a joint plan to prevent the climate crisis. It aims to limit the increase in global average surface temperature to 2°C, and preferably keep it below 1.5°C, in order to prevent the climate crisis. Turkey signed the Paris Climate Agreement at a signing ceremony held in New York on April 22, 2016, and it entered into force in November 2021.
